KSD9700 series temperature control switch is a bimetal temperature sensor, with rapid action, accurate temperature control, large control current, long service life, is widely used in all kinds of micro motor, induction cooker, air conditioning motor, small household appliances and other temperature protection control.

KSD9700 series is a kind of temperature controller with bimetal as temperature sensing element. When the appliance is working normally, the bimetallic sheet is in the free state and the contacts are in the closed/disconnected state. When the temperature rises to the operating temperature, the bimetallic element is heated to produce internal stress and rapid action, open/close the contact, cut off/on the circuit, so as to play a thermal protection role. When the temperature drops to reset temperature, the contact will automatically close/disconnect and return to normal working state. KSD9700 is widely used in household electrical motors and electrical equipment, such as washing machine motor, air conditioning fan motor, transformer, ballast, electric heating appliances and so on.

Working priciple

The KSD9700 thermostat is made up of two different alloys, which heat up after passing an electric current. Because of the different coefficient of thermal expansion of two different alloys, the alloy is bound to bend in one direction, the contact leaves, and the electricity is cut off. The bending speed is proportional to the amount of current passing through and the ambient temperature. That is how KSD9700 protects the electrical equipment.

Installation notice:

During installation, the temperature switch should be completely close to the mounting surface of the tested appliance.
Do not collapse or deform the plastic / metal shell during installation.
For metal temperature controller, when using, do not remove the insulating sleeve to avoid electric leakage.
Not suitable for working in water.
Not suitable for air temperature sensing, only applies to contact sensing.
