KSD314 series quick-action thermostat is a sealed bimetallic heat protector (3/4 "disk). Working under resistive load, it has a very high load capacity, with a maximum current of 45A. The series are suitable for high power electrical appliances as temperature control or overheating protection.
KSD314 temperature controller is divided into 6 sub-series according to different structure and application. They are KSD314-V, KSD314-Q, KSD314-R, KSD314-U, KSD314-T and KSD314-F.

KSD314-V series is a SPST automatic reset type thermostat. It can be normally closed or normally open. The housing is made of high temperature resistant resin material with a max operating temperature of 180℃. The pressure rating is basic insulation, and certain additional measures can be taken to achieve a reinforced insulation level.
KSD314-T series thermostat belongs to the voltage maintained thermal cut-out. When the thermostat reach the operating temperature, it will be disconnected and remain disconnected until the external power supply is cut off. Compared with the manually reset product (KSD314-R), it provides more reusable and reliable protection functions. KSD314-T is suitable for electric appliances with high reliability requirements for safety protection, especially for electric heaters.

Grounding method: Through the thermostat metal cup connected to the grounding metal part.

The thermostat should be operated in an environment with no more than 90% humidity and free from corrosive, flammable gases and conductive dust.

When a thermostat is used to detect the temperature of a solid object, its cover shall be close to the heated part of such object. At the same time, thermal grease or other similar properties of the thermal medium should be coated on the surface of the cover.

If a thermostat is used to sense the temperature of a liquid or steam, a version with a stainless steel cup is highly recommended. In addition, pay attention to prevent liquids from entering/entering the insulated parts of the thermostat.

The top of the cup must not be pressed into the sink so as not to adversely affect the temperature sensitivity of the thermostat or its other functions.

The liquid must be kept away from the inside of the thermostat! The base must excite any force that might cause a crack; It should be kept clean and away from electrical contamination to prevent short circuit damage caused by weakened insulation.
