BW 9700 Temperature Sensor Thermal Cut Off Switch is composed of dish-shaped highly sensitive bimetallic element, moving contact, static contact plate, fixed base, shell, temperature resistant wire and so on.
When working, the bimetallic element is in free state. The moving contact is closed with the static contact piece, and the circuit is switched on. When the temperature of the electric appliance rises to the action temperature of the thermal protector due to the fault heating, the bimetallic element is heated to produce internal stress and rapid action, push the moving contact to leave the static contact plate and disconnect the circuit, so as to cut off the power supply of the faulty electric appliance to protect the electric appliance.
When the temperature of the protected electrical appliance drops to the rated reset temperature, the bimetal element returns to the initial state. The contact is closed and the electrical appliance returns to normal operation.
Test method: Connect the two leads of the sample respectively to the fixture of the test equipment, pass about 10mA current, use a light-emitting diode to indicate the current on and off, put the sample into the special temperature measuring equipment. Thermometer probe should be close to the sample, control the temperature of the detection equipment to rise at the rate of 0.5 ~ 1℃/min. When the LED is out, write down the thermometer reading which is the sample operating temperature.
