1. Please check the user manual for your Hayward heater to ensure FDXLTER1930 is listed as the part number for the temperature sensor/thermistor.
2. After you replace the temperature sensor with a new one, if the temperature reading is not accurate, check the resistance value at the given temperature provided in the Hayward heater user manual, if it is within 10% of the value shown, it is probably not a faulty temperature sensor. It may be the control board or another problem.

How to install
1. Locate the Thermistor: The thermistor (FDXLTER1930) is located on the pool heater's water manifold. The number of thermistors and their positions may vary depending on your specific model. Refer to your product manual for the exact location.
2. Access the Thermistor: If necessary, remove any covers or panels that may be obstructing access to the thermistor. Use a screwdriver or nut driver to remove the fasteners and open up the heater's casing, exposing the thermistor.
3. Disconnect Wires: Gently disconnect the wires connected to the existing thermistor. Take note of how the wires are connected to the thermistor for easy reinstallation later. You may need to use a screwdriver or needle-nose pliers to remove wire connectors, depending on the wiring configuration.
4. Remove the Old Thermistor: Carefully remove the old thermistor from its mounting location. It may be secured with a bracket or held in place with a retaining clip.
5. Install the New Thermistor: Take the new FDXLTER1930 thermistor and place it in the same position where the old one was located. Secure it with the mounting bracket or retaining clip, if applicable.
6. Connect Wires to the New Thermistor: Attach the wires to the new thermistor in the same manner they were connected to the old one. Ensure a secure and tight connection.
7. Reassemble the Heater: Put back any covers or panels that were removed to access the thermistor. Use the screwdriver or nut driver to fasten them securely.
8. Test the Heater: After the replacement, reconnect the pool heater to the power supply and turn it on. Verify that the heater is now reading the water temperature accurately. Monitor its performance to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
