Detecting above situations, it's time to replace a temperature sensor. And installing an oven temperature sensor typically involves a few steps. Here's a general guide on how to install an oven temperature sensor:
1. Safety first: Before starting any work on your oven, ensure that it is disconnected from the power source. Unplug it from the electrical outlet or turn off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the oven.
2. Locate the sensor: The temperature sensor is usually located inside the oven cavity, attached to the back wall or near the top. You may need to remove the oven racks or panels to access it. Refer to the oven's user manual for specific instructions on locating the sensor.
3. Remove the old sensor: Depending on the oven model, the sensor may be held in place by screws or clips. Use a screwdriver or pliers to remove any screws or release any clips securing the sensor. Carefully detach any wire harness connected to the sensor. Take note of the wire colors and their positions for later reference.
