PTC Thermistor Ceramic Heater Heating Elements
Unlike traditional heating elements that use a resistance wire such as Nichrome to generate heat, PTC heater is made of PTC ceramic heating element and aluminum tube. It is an automatic constant temperature heater and does not need any additional temperature applications.it is a new kind heater in the market .It is fixed by a pair of metal electrodes with leads on both sides of PTC element.

1. Temperature Sensing and Monitoring: PTC thermistors are commonly used as temperature sensors in various electronic devices and systems. They can accurately measure temperature changes in a circuit or the surrounding environment and are used in thermostats, HVAC systems, electronic appliances, and industrial equipment.
2. Temperature Compensation: PTC thermistors can be utilized to compensate for the temperature-dependent characteristics of other electronic components. By incorporating PTC thermistors into circuits, it is possible to stabilize the performance of components like transistors, sensors, and oscillators over a wide temperature range.
3. Overcurrent Protection: PTC thermistors can act as resettable fuses in electronic circuits to provide overcurrent protection. When the current exceeds a certain threshold, the PTC thermistor's resistance increases dramatically, limiting the current flow and protecting the circuit from damage. Once the fault is removed, the PTC thermistor returns to its low resistance state.
4. Inrush Current Limiting: In power supply circuits, PTC thermistors can be used to limit inrush currents during the startup phase. When power is initially applied, the thermistor has a low resistance, which limits the current surge. As the device heats up, the resistance increases, allowing normal operation.
5. Self-Regulating Heaters: PTC thermistors are widely used as self-regulating heating elements. When used as heaters, their resistance increases with rising temperature, leading to a reduction in current flow and heat output. This inherent self-regulating property prevents overheating, making them suitable for applications like space heaters, heated seats, and heating pads.
6. Motor Starters: PTC thermistors can serve as effective motor starters in certain applications. By using the thermistor in series with the motor, it acts as a starting element, limiting the high startup current. As the motor reaches its operational speed, the PTC thermistor heats up and increases its resistance, reducing its impact on the circuit.
