Breakdown of PPTC Fuse functioning

1. Normal Operating State: When the circuit is in its normal operating state and the current is within a safe range, the PPTC fuse exhibits a low resistance. This allows current to flow through it without significant voltage drop or heat generation.

2. Overcurrent Condition: If an overcurrent event occurs, such as a short circuit or a current surge due to a fault, the current passing through the PPTC fuse increases significantly. As the current rises, the temperature of the polymer in the PPTC rises as well.

3. Transition Phase: As the polymer's temperature increases, its resistance begins to rise. This rise in resistance acts as a self-regulating mechanism. The PPTC fuse enters a transitional state where its resistance is rapidly increasing. This sudden increase in resistance causes a significant voltage drop across the PPTC, which helps limit the current flowing through the circuit.

4. Current Limiting: The rising resistance and voltage drop across the PPTC fuse effectively limit the current to a safe level. This helps protect the circuit and connected components from the damaging effects of overcurrent. The PPTC fuse effectively acts as a self-resetting circuit breaker.

5. Resetting: Once the overcurrent condition is removed or the fault is cleared, the PPTC fuse starts to cool down. As the temperature decreases, the polymer's resistance gradually returns to its low initial state. This allows the circuit to be restored to normal operation.

A: Payment term is normally T/T 40% as deposit, and 60% before delivery.
