L1 Series Single Pole circuit breakers represent our largest selling product family. Based on a proven "SNAP ACTING" bimetallic thermal sensing element system, L1 Series circuit breakers sense overload conditions and interrupt the flow of current. The resettable actuator mechanism then remains disengaged until manually reset.
L1 Series offers amperage ratings from 3A to 60A, and is suitable for a diversity of applications. Our products are carefully calibrated and tested to ensure reliable performance under a variety of operating assignments and conditions.
1. Interrupting Electric Current: The primary function of a circuit breaker is to interrupt or open the flow of electric current through a circuit. When the current exceeds a safe or design threshold, the circuit breaker quickly responds to halt the flow of electricity.
2. Exceeding Design Limitations: Every circuit breaker is designed with specific current-carrying capacities. These capacities are determined based on the characteristics of the circuit and the equipment it serves. When the current surpasses these design limitations, it could lead to overheating, equipment damage, and potential safety hazards.
3. Preventing Energy Supply to Loads: By interrupting the current flow, the circuit breaker prevents the supply of energy to the connected loads downstream. This action helps prevent the loads from receiving excessive and potentially damaging levels of current.
Product advantage
